Methods. The full pipeline is documented in Fig. 1: the millworks. One paper is tipped into the hopper, the crank is turned, the paper is conveyed into the transformer, and a podcast comes off the other end. The apparatus is open to inspection and may be cranked by any reader.

No data were withheld. There is no secret sauce. There is barely a sauce. The recommendation engine is two people arguing about which paper annoyed them most this week, and it is not available under any licence.

To reproduce: turn the crank yourself, then listen to every episode in order. Results should agree with ours to within floating-point differences in enthusiasm. If your findings differ materially, the discrepancy is interesting and we would like to hear about it.
